Under the Sea
This piece was made with a focus on using recycled materials and hand-made sequins. Materials used include plastic drinking straws, tin foil, fabric scraps, paper scraps, tulle, and yarn. The fabric is hand painted with watercolor paint. Embroidery techniques used include a modified bouillon stitch, vertical weaving, and couching.
